Idol Experience
I did not believed that i went for it. hahaha...
worse thing was i did not bring my cam for those moments..
Saturday: 11/02/06
finished work at 2pm..intended to go & q but was told by Fiz he is still in the q and it will probably take such a loooong time. i decided to go home first..came out by 6pm to meet Jue at Spc so that we can go together. got to know by then fiz made it!! whoohhoooo!!
i'm so very happy for him..go bro go!!
he invited me & hubby to be with him outside the audition room when the date is fixed! definitely i dont wanna miss it man!!! but i want to tell him maybe all the gengz_ger3ks can go cos maximum 20 pac mah??? kan Fiz kan? boleh ah eh kita kecohkan lagi suasana ehehehhe!!!
reached there at 6pm+ & still showing the long q. but it was not that hot anymore..i lined up but Jue decided to accompany me all the way to the front. such a darling seh..so touched!! she queued with me for 2.5hrs just for registration only ok! bukannya audition..then fiz came after maghrib prayers with a big bag of burger king and he too joined us in the q ..AGAIN! kehkehkehe
at last i finally registered and it ended only at 9pm. i have to come back on Sunday at 12noon for the auditions. waited for Abang to come and fetched me while sitting with Juriz discussing on song selections and Fiz experiences during the auditions. urgh..already having butterflies in my tummy then...ishk!
Sunday 12/02/06
woke up at 10am to bath izz & get ready to go. my mum-in-law went for religious class so abg stepped up to the challenge! hehehe..he took care of izz alone at home! panic moment is when izz poopped & he managed to change the pampers all by himself.
hehe thanks baby! i'm so proud of u..steadylah Ayah!
headed down to cineleisure. proceeded to the q point only to find out that the q starts from contestant no 2000! so frustrated siak to find out that there are actually 554 people in front of me as my no is 2555. shit! i have to stand again for God knows how many hours more..i stood in the q for a while till i can't take it anymore. it was tooooo HOT siak! itam aku..dahlah pagi aku makan 1 pathetic cream cracker cos i was too freakin nervous too eat anything.
that's it. i decided to go out of the q & stood under a tree shade which is much better. bodoh kan suruh datang kul 12noon just to know that u have to q again seh..this is too much! suruhlah orang datang later kan padahal aku boleh tidor lagik 2 jam aku rasa.
dah mcm budak bodoh...aku relak sorang2 bawah pokok..pastu aku relak kat LJS sandar kat kerusi for 2 hours ok enjoying my smoke & looking at those yang sanggup berline-up tuuuuu...panjang betul!
anyway spoken to 2 contestant-both Malays..
satu dapat masuk satu tak dapat...nyanyi lagu RnB katanya..dapat..
satu Abg rock tak dapat..muka boring..kesian..
donno how will i feel later pulak eh?? hmmm...
anyways i waited & waited till it was 4.30pm roughly when i went in the q..made a few frens which was way way cool..the people that i met was between 18-23 hmmm. 3 most cool people eva
angelia- a srihanese (sri lanka & portugese mix)
tresa- working at model agency
marc- lead singer of a band, used to work for my company, also knew my fwen & i can enter the pub where's he's playing at for FREE! HEH!
was ushered to these seating positions...was forced to paste these HUGE sticker with my ref no on it 4001 on my breast!! looked so stupid..like a jailbird..tinggal nak tunggu amik gambar front view & sideview ajer!
ok the time has come..we went up by lift to the 9th storey for the auditions & MY GOD EVERYBODY LOOKED AT US in the shopping centre. dahlah line up in a row cam budak primary school..selamat dia tak suruh 'ok hold hands, in twos, shortest in front"!!!
kau i was soooo paiseh..i took my paper bag & covered up my chest!
moment finally came..cameras was interviewing like nobody's business..
i just avoided eye contact totally...dalam hati "PLS DON'T PICK ME PLS DON'T PICK ME!'
hehehehehe
marc & tresa was in another grp..
here..i'm sitting just outside the audition room
by this time..heartbeat dah laju macam bullet train..my palms are all sweaty
i'm trying so hard to control my nerves!!!
the doors open..i stepped in lookin at the floor for the idol logo cos we were told to stand on it & don;t move DUH!
dahlah aku diri macam puppet..introduced myself & sung my song.
i heard he sang a good song
i heard he had a style
and so i came to see him to listen for a while
and there he was this young boy
stranger to my eyes..
& u all knew the chorus..i sang almost the full song bila siak ni orang nak angkat tangan suruh stop sehh..
almost reaching the end FINALLY dia suruh aku stop..phew..!
ok i heard my voice..khekheke...shaky nak mampos! i told u girls aku cannot control my nerves ahhh...but 1/2way thru the song i managed to control abit only hahaha...
just want u to imagine yurself in a BIG room..the silence is deafening..what Fiz said it's true..u can even hear the buzzing sound of the camera..& the camera is practically IN YUR FACE! a bright yellow light is also facing you on the left...
GOSH! nasib tak terkencing dlm sluar beb!!!
i was never this nervous when i performed with Fiz for our DnD event..all went very well but this is TOTALLY different!! facing the producers is as nervewrecking but this is before the judges sia...macam manalah kalau dengan judges nanti..

once i left the room..i was smiling. saw tresa, she asked how was it..i just said "Thats it ah beb..i think i'm going home laughing.."
"yah me too..i sucked!"..i was shocked when Tresa said that. she's got an angelic voice when she sang to us outside but the thing that ruined it is she forgot the words..OH NO!
i saw her dissapointment..while we got our results..
THOSE WHO DID NOT MAKE IT...NO 2554 & 2555!

i feel bad for her & myself..i'm a bit sad but i'm prepared for the bad news though..
this is the first time that i managed to pluck up the courage to enter a major singing competition like this..& i had a wonderful experience that i will never forget
fwens ask me to try again next year but i heard there's another audition this Sunday at Toa Payoh but i dont't think so i'm going again ehehehe
next year??? hmmm..maybe..
